Wapaskwa Virtual Collegiate – Update 07 Dec
Welcome to the new Wapaskwa.ca website. This site is meant to enable users to access information about Wapaskwa and enable users to make knowledgeable education decisions. The WVC allows users access to courses for Manitoba First Nation students that are not available through regular programs.
Wapaskwa Virtual Collegiate is a non-profit organization that partners with First Nation schools to offer content-rich, credit-bearing high school courses to students across Manitoba. We are pleased to announce the course offerings of our 2010 – 2011 Pilot Program! The Pilot Program courses are offered entirely over the Internet in a virtual classroom format, with the daily presence of an online teacher. These courses can be taken for credit recovery or course enrichment, and do not require prior online course experience to participate.
Fully qualified WVC-trained teachers conduct the online classes, which are designed for approximately 80 minutes of instruction per day (Monday-Friday). Students can take WVC Pilot, any place, allowing for greater flexibility in their academic environment. WVC also provides student support via phone, email, evening tutoring and Elluminate sessions.
